With a strong rating of 4.3, this hotel stands out as a shining example for travelers seeking a welcoming and accommodating stay in the region.

Guests frequently highlight the spacious and impeccably clean rooms, many featuring separate living areas and large showers that enhance the sense of luxury and convenience. The hotel's modern design still feels fresh and inviting, creating a relaxing atmosphere that surpasses typical chain hotel experiences. Notably, families appreciate the kid-friendly layout, such as rooms with multiple beds and pull-out couches, making the Garland Hotel ideal for group stays.

The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness resonate deeply in guest reviews, contributing to a warm and personal stay. From smooth, swift check-ins to proactive room readiness, the service elevates the entire visit. Complimentary amenities such as free Wi-Fi, parking, and a generous breakfast featuring offerings like cheese omelettes and sausage patties provide both value and satisfaction. Small touches like free cookies, pastries, yogurt, and a wealth of beverages convey thoughtful care for each visitor’s comfort.

While the hotel boasts impressive amenities—including a fitness center, pool, hot tub, laundry service, and accessible facilities—its location truly shines. Situated just minutes from local attractions like the John & Annie Glenn Museum, Terra Cotta Vineyards, and outdoor spaces like the Powelson Wildlife Area, the Garland Hotel serves as an excellent base for exploration and discovery in the area.

Some caution is shared regarding the lobby’s glossy tile floor, which may become slippery during inclement weather—a small note in an otherwise superb experience. The absence of an on-site restaurant does not diminish the overall appeal, thanks to the quality breakfast service and close proximity to dining options nearby.

Overall, the Garland Hotel presents a compelling choice for travelers prioritizing spacious accommodations, genuine hospitality, and well-rounded amenities at a competitive price point. It effortlessly marries convenience with comfort, leaving a lasting impression of cleanliness, warmth, and thoughtful service.

This hotel was amazing! Very spacious and clean rooms. Still feels new. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great price compared to anything else in the area. Convenient to The Wilds. Free cookies, rolls, milk, juices, and drinks. Glad we chose this compared to typical chain hotels. Do not be afraid and do not hesitate. I did the research up front and so glad it worked out.

Attention attention attention. Please watch your step and take it slow through the lobby. If it is snowing like it was during my stay from December 12 to December 14, or even just raining, make sure to dry your feet well and walk carefully once you step off the entrance mat. The lobby tile floor is glossy and can be very slippery. It almost feels like walking on glass coated in motor oil, and it would be very easy to slip or damage your phone. Truck drivers, take note. This hotel does offer truck parking whether you are bobtailing or pulling a 53 foot trailer. I strongly recommend calling the hotel ahead of time to confirm availability and see if other trucks are already parked on the property. There is a red dirt lot just past the hotel on the right. My suggestion is to pull in, swing around, and back in carefully. Try to keep your steer tires and first set of drive tires on pavement if possible, especially in rain or snow, so you maintain traction and avoid getting stuck. Now for the review itself. I am honestly not sure why this property is rated only two stars. The hotel feels very new or recently renovated. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well designed. Breakfast was excellent and clearly well maintained. The coffee machine offered multiple options including black coffee, cappuccino, latte, and hot chocolate. Breakfast included eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, and pancakes, and the staff made a noticeable effort to keep everything fresh. That effort is greatly appreciated. The only possible reason I can think of for the low star rating may be customer service. It was not bad by any means, but the spark or warmth could be improved slightly. Other than that, I have no complaints. The water pressure in the room was excellent and left me feeling truly clean, which is very important for someone who lives on the road three weeks out of the month and showers when they can rather than when they want. Food options are convenient. You can use Uber Eats, or take a short walk across the street to a Sheetz gas station with a full kitchen. Just outside the parking lot down the hill is a Chevron station that offers fairly priced essentials like earplugs, razors, and shaving cream. One more thing worth mentioning is the laundry facility. This hotel offers a laundry room with two stacked washers and dryers completely free of charge. That alone is a rare and valuable amenity. Please be respectful and clean up after yourself so this benefit remains available for everyone. Overall, my stay was very pleasant and comfortable. I would gladly return and would like to thank the Garland Hotel for a solid experience.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my life and this is by far the best one I’ve ever stayed at. Getting there was easy, as it’s located right off the highway. Check in was a breeze, and the front desk person was super friendly and even checked on my room before I arrived. They had free yogurt, danishes, and plenty of drinks readily available for guests. I didn’t get up in time for breakfast but I will next time we stay here because I’m sure it’s good. The room was clean, spacious, beautiful, open, and included a balcony. The shower was very big and had a handheld shower head. The toiletries included were high quality and made with honey. The room included a little kitchen with a cute little breakfast nook and a coffee machine. The hotel also had four new washers and dryers that weren’t coin operated. It has a pool too which I’ll be checking out when I stay there again. The only critiques I have are it would’ve been nice to have at least one chair on the balcony, and I don’t agree with the holy bible that was kept under the nightstand. Thank you so much for an incredible stay! We’ll be back!

What a surprise! No wonder this hotel is getting 5 stars. Located between Cambridge and Zanesville, Ohio right off I-70. Don't pass this one up especially for the rooms and price. Shown is a 2 queen bed with a separate living room and pull out couch. Each room has a TV. The bathroom is a Jack n Jill. It is huge with an overhead shower with a seat. Plenty of room for a family with kids. It also has a nook in the bedroom for your laptop.

Wow, FANTASTIC hotel! One of the cleanest I think I’ve ever been in. All of the staff were friendly, and the room and hallways were so clean and upkept. Very spacious rooms, and balcony. The shower was HUGE as well too. Can’t say enough about how great our stay was!

Even though they had some water damage from burst pipes they have done a wonderful job getting everything cleaned up. The hotel was immaculate. The staff very friendly and helpful. The room was awesome. The free breakfast was excellent. I had the cheese omelette and sausage patty as did my wife. It has a very easy access from the Interstare. I was really impressed that they also have a windmill generator and solar panel field to reduce their carbon footprint. In all the hotels I have stayed at, I have never seen that before. It is truly admirable!
